Organization Updates

***

As of March 16th we made the difficult decision to close our office until further notice. During this time, we will be working remotely, but will continue to be responsive to the community’s needs in the following ways:

  • If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at (505) 247-1023, staff will be available.

  • If you have questions or concerns and have an open case with us, feel free to reach out to your attorney.

  • We are continuing to support the immigrant community across New Mexico by offering free attorney consultation hours every Friday from 11am to 1pm.

  • While we are temporarily suspending our in-person workshop on Wednesdays, we will still provide screenings by phone for those interested in DACA, Naturalization, or green card renewal.

  • We are similarly suspending our Friday asylum workshops, but will be providing remote support to asylum seekers with urgent needs.

  • We will continue providing legal orientations and information to detainees held in Cibola and Torrance detention centers remotely.

  • Our existing 2020 Census and Citizenship outreach will continue to ensure that the voice of the community is heard and counts.

  • We will continue to be vigilant and support policies that protect immigrant communities at this especially vulnerable moment.

Please check our website, social media, or give us a call for updates as we will be continually evaluating the situation. Together we can continue to work with and advocate for immigrant communities in New Mexico.
