Immigrants in New Mexico and the US have been devastated by separation due to deportation, violence, poverty, criminalization, and historical marginalization.

IT'S TOO HARD TO GET HELP

For low-income immigrants facing legal challenges, help is hard to come by. 63% of immigrants facing deportation do so without an attorney. But having an attorney can make all the difference! Immigrants with an attorney are 5-and-a-half times more likely to receive relief from removal.

THE SYSTEM IS BROKEN

Our immigration system denies immigrants fundamental human rights. The current administration’s policies--building a wall, deporting millions, and closing the door on those in need of protection, to name a few--are fundamentally at odds with the values of a nation in which all people have the opportunity to live in safety with the ones they love.

NOT ENOUGH PROVIDERS

Structural barriers limit access to the legal profession by immigrants and people of color.
