Law Office Manager/Legal Assistant

The Law Office Manager/Legal Assistant will, under the direction of the Supervising Attorney, ensure that the legal office operations and systems run smoothly, are in compliance with ethical rules, and meet the needs, expectations, and deadlines of the staff and funders.

Supervising Attorney

The Supervising Attorney will be responsible for supervision and management of the daily tasks associated with the provision of legal services. The Supervising Attorney will supervise a team of staff attorneys, paralegals, interns and volunteers and also maintain a caseload.

Victim Advocate

The Victim Advocate will be responsible for conducting advocacy activities, providing case management support services to immigrant victims of crime, and networking with community partners, agencies and law enforcement to enhance victims’ access to services enhancing safety and access to justice.

Contract Attorney

The Contract Attorney will provide direct representation on complex cases and training, technical assistance and mentorship to Staff Attorneys, paralegals, and volunteers. Frequent communication with the entire NMILC legal team and immigrant and advocacy organizations will be required. This is a one-year contract.

Pro Bono Coordinator/Staff Attorney

The Pro Bono Coordinator is responsible for implementing the strategic vision and day-to-day management of NMILC’s pro bono relationships, including law firms, law school institutions, bar and bench associations, state commissions, national partners and the private bar.

Our quarterly citizenship fairs are opportunities for volunteers to assist New Mexicans with their citizenship applications. Volunteers of all language abilities and experience are encouraged to help out!
