Equal Justice Works Fellow, Crime Victim Advocacy

Leslie joins NMILC as an Equal Justice Works Fellow for Crime Victim Advocacy and will provide direct representation to immigrant victims of crimes. Leslie has been in Albuquerque, New Mexico since her family migrated to the U.S. when she was three years old. However, she is originally from Mexico City, Mexico. Leslie graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology and a double major in Political Science. Leslie then graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2022. In law school, Leslie received Clinical Honors and an award for Excellence in International Law and Comparative Law. As an immigrant herself, she is immensely thankful for the opportunity to serve the immigrant population in New Mexico.
