Felipe's work has always happened behind the scenes. All the way from his beginnings at the filmmaking circuits in his native Bogota, Colombia, to his current work with the community at NMILC.

Being an active member in the community and seeing up close the work that local organizations do every day for the common good is inspiring. Hearing the stories of our people, seeing their leadership grow and acting in spaces that had not been available to our community, gives me reasons to continue doing what I do.”

Felipe’s background on filmmaking has been essential on the conception, developing, and execution of campaigns on support of local policy, political campaigns, and community empowerment throughout his work on the nonprofit organizations local scene. Felipe joined the comms team at NMILC during the winter of 2023 to keep on working with the community, creating photographic and video content, as well as to reinforce our presence in the local media market.
