NMILC Staff Attorney Named New State Bar of New Mexico’s Immigration Law Section Chair
Congratulations to our staff attorney, Deshawnda, on being named the new Chair of the State Bar of New Mexico Immigration Law Section!
"I am excited about being elected chair of the New Mexico State Bar Immigration Law Section. I believe I will be able to plug NMILC’s expertise into the greater immigration legal community,” Deshawnda reflected on her new leadership position.
As Chair, Deshawnda will run meetings and guide the law section. The law section is in charge of organizing Continuing Legal Education (CLEs) in immigration topics and also give out a number of scholarships to law students to assist with their textbook and bar study expenses.
