Leading Advocacy Organizations Submit Federal Complaint Regarding Ongoing Human Rights Violations at Torrance County Detention Facility
This week, the New Mexico Immigrant Law Center (NMILC) and other oversight agencies, calling for an immediate investigation into ongoing due process violations and human rights abuses at Torrance County Detention Facility (TCDF).
People Held in ICE Custody at The Torrance County Detention Facility Expose Ongoing Unlivable Conditions and Demand Change
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – People held in ICE custody at the Torrance County Detention Facility have consistently issued statements regarding the ongoing mistreatment and poor conditions inside of the facility. They continue to detail unlivable dorm units, inedible food, mistreatment and discrimination by guards and ICE staff, and due process violations in their asylum proceedings.

NMILC Files Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Complaint Against Cibola County Correctional Center
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. Monday, April 17th. The New Mexico Immigrant Law Center (NMILC) along with partner organizations at Innovation Law Lab, the Santa Fe Dreamers Project, Las Americas Immigrant Advocacy Center, and the New Mexico Dream Team filed a civil rights and civil liberties (CRCL) complaint against the Cibola County Correctional Center (CCCC) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
