On Thursday, September 1, community members gathered outside the ICE office in Albuquerque to honor Kesley’s life and to demand accountability from ICE, the Torrance County Detention Facility’s for-profit operator CoreCivic, and Torrance County, who share responsibility for the abhorrent conditions, abuse and neglect at TCDF. Our team and partners at Justice For Our Neighbors - El Paso, Volunteers for Immigrants in Detention - Albuquerque (VIDA) and ABQ Faithworks Collaborative co-organized the vigil.
