Casey Mangan

Equal Justice Works Disaster Resilience Fellow

Casey is an Equal Justice Works Disaster Resilience Fellow at NMILC, where he works with both detained and non-detained clients throughout southern New Mexico. Prior to joining NMILC, Casey was an Immigrant Justice Corps Fellow with Innovation Law Lab in El Paso, TX where he represented detained clients in New Mexico and West Texas and participated in a shutdown campaign at Torrance County Detention Facility.

Casey received his J.D. in 2020 from and was a Gold Honors Scholar at USC Gould School of Law. Casey received the 2020 USC Gould Mason C. Brown Award, recognizing a third-year law student who demonstrates commitment to public service and talent for trial work.

He is admitted to practice law in the state of California, before the Executive Office for Immigration Review, and before the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals for the U.S. Before law school, he was a Fulbright Scholar at Inonu University in Malatya, Turkey. Casey graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Sociology from Azusa Pacific University. Outside of work, Casey enjoys rock climbing, running, and traveling.
