Stephanie Sample

Interim Development Director

Stephanie joined NMILC in 2024 as a consultant and is now the Development Director. Sample holds a B.A. in French and Political Science from the University of Southern Maine, and a M.A. from the University of New Mexico in Language, Literacy and Sociocultural Studies. Sample founded Fundraising for The Future, in 2016 which continues to serve nonprofits across sectors with grant writing and change management. Sample is an expert in philanthropic navigation, growth strategy for nonprofits, and major donor and foundation fundraising. She trains nationwide on topics from futures thinking to how organizational culture impacts fundraising. She is committed to advancing justice and safety for immigrants.
