Tess Wilkes

Senior Attorney

Tess joins NMILC with a strong foundation in public interest law from ten years of experience working with various legal organizations in New Mexico. She works on Special Immigrant Juvenile cases and other humanitarian cases. Born and raised in Santa Fe, she now works out of our Santa Fe office, in partnership with Solace Crisis Treatment Center.

Tess graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2012. Prior to law school, she worked as an AmeriCorps volunteer through the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants at a placement in the San Luis Valley, Colorado; as an international student coordinator and interpreter at the University of Piemonte Orientale in Italy; and for Catholic Charities in Albuquerque as a legal assistant on the VAWA and U visa legal cases.
