NMILC Named 2021 Humanitarian Award Honoree By JCC of Greater Albuquerque

“SB 219 can give young adults the opportunity to pursue their career of choice in their home state. In turn, these young professionals will offer New Mexicans their valuable skills and allow our state to reap the rew.png

NMILC was recently named one of the Jewish Community Center of Central Albuquerque’s 2021 Humanitarian Award honorees. The awards celebrate people across New Mexico dedicating their life's work to helping others. Jennifer Landau, NMILC’s Executive Director and Co-founder, received the award on behalf of the organization.

“For a democracy to function there has to be inclusion of all members of society,” Landau said in her acceptance speech. “When there are laws that exclude individuals on the basis of their race, of their country of origin, a democracy cannot flourish. It's very important to me and to the NMILC to support efforts to make our society more equitable.”

NMILC is honored to have received this recognition from the JCC of Greater Albuquerque. Congratulations to our amazing team of staff, volunteers, and community partners who make the work happen.
