Volunteer Spotlight: Susan Miller Bisong

This month we are honored to feature Susan Miller Bisong in our Volunteer Spotlight.

Susan has been a shareholder with the Modrall Sperling Law Firm since 2011.  She is the chair of the firm’s Natural Resources Department and practices water rights law.  She also practices litigation and defends medical and behavioral health hospitals in medical malpractice lawsuits.

Susan is currently a member of the Board of Directors for Equal Access to Justice. She previously served as a Peace Corps volunteer from 1993-1996 in Nigeria as a community health volunteer where she worked on projects involving parasitic disease prevention.

Susan helped initiate Modrall Sperling’s pro bono involvement with the New Mexico Immigrant Law Center and feels strongly that those brought to the United States as young children that know no other home should have a chance to stay in the United States.

Pro bonos are integral to expanding the capacity of NMILC to help as many members of our community as possible. Click here to learn more about our award-winning legal pro bono team.
