Margherita Tessarollo

Intake Specialist

Margherita first joined NMILC in 2023 as a volunteer and she is now part of the Intake Specialists team. She is from northern Italy, and she holds a M.A. in American and European Languages and Literatures from the University of Padova (Italy). She worked as a foreign languages teacher both in Italy and in Albuquerque and she has always been passionate about learning from different cultures and helping people integrate in the community.

As an immigrant herself, Margherita understands the challenges that people can encounter when living outside their own country, that's why she joined NMILC, to support the immigrant community and advocate for those in need. At NMILC Margherita hopes to learn more about social justice and to be an active part of the immigrant community. In her free time, she enjoys going to the movies, hiking and spending time with her friends.
