Asylum & Detention Legal Assistant

David began working with the migrant community as a volunteer with Al Otro Lado in Tijuana, Mexico following a 30 year career as an engineer and researcher with the University of California.  Relocating to Albuquerque in 2020, David operated a legal and humanitarian aid hotline for migrants throughout Mexico before joining Roadrunner Food Bank to help to manage pandemic food distributions.  David is now part of the Asylum and Detention team, assisting with immigration applications and detention advocacy
