Senior Intake Specialist/Front Desk Coordinator

Brenda is the Intake Specialist at NMILC with 7 years of experience advocating for domestic violence survivors through community partner Enlace Comunitario. She immigrated to the US with her family as a child from Chihuahua, Mexico and grew up in Albuquerque, NM. She received her Paralegal Certification through UNM in May 2021 and is attending CNM for Film Production (to specialize in documentary community awareness work). As an immigrant to this country she is passionate about social justice and advocating for immigrant’s rights in our community. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, family and her dog Frida (Chihuahua mix.)
